National Geographic have revealed a piece of tech they have been working on that looks like it’s been ripped straight from a science fiction novel. The Space Projection Helmet is an immersive head-piece that has been designed to accompany a film by Darren Aronofsky called One Strange Rock, made in conjunction with astronauts that celebrates our planet and tells the story of how life came to exist on our little ball of rock endlessly spinning around an exploding ball of gas. The helmet gives a full field of vision of the film, allowing users to feel as though they are completely immersed in the world of an astronaut, and while we will hold out on a review until we actually try it, just wearing the thing looks way cooler than any virtual reality headset on the market today…
