A major National Broadcaster is requesting ideas for music-based documentaries to be broadcast on their own channels, as well as YouTube and social media. The client is looking for ideas that are reactive and topical, and which focus it on their core values of music and entertainment.

The pitch will consist of one detailed proposal of around 5 pages on one idea, though the client is open to hearing other ideas that are relevant to the brief. Ideas they are looking for should be:

  • exciting, intriguing and entertaining.

  • focus on the musical passions of young British contributors and artists, and/or

  • provide insights into youth fandoms, subcultures, trends, obsessions and passions, via strong music protagonists.

  • have a strong first-person narrative, rather than be presented by known broadcasters.

  • embody the upbeat tone of the broadcaster’s on-air editorial; positive, bright, fun, cheerful, energetic, inclusive.

The main programme delivery will be 15-20mins, with cut-down versions of the programme for YouTube at 5-10mins, as well as various short, subtitled video clips for Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram and associated metadata, images, and production paperwork.

Submission deadline: 19/12/2018
