The government funded Get Into Teaching initiative released this moving advert that shows us the day-to-day life of a teacher in the UK.

Although the profession can be tough, it can also be incredibly rewarding. In this video, we see a young teacher looking after kids who’re at secondary school. At first, he faces some challenges, but he manages to get the kids interested and involved in the curriculum. As the ad goes on, we begin to see the meaningful friendships that he forms with his students. He doesn’t just help them with their coursework, he’s also there for them when they’re down in the dumps as well.

The aim of the video is to show the fulfilling side of being a teacher. All too often the conversation around teaching is focused on the workload that they face, but sometimes it’s easy to forget the benefits of the job as well. It’s one of the most meaningful jobs that you can do, as you’re helping the next generation of inventors, artists and scientists get their start in life.
