Michelob made the ambitious commitment to help a farmers turn 6 square feet of their crops into organic farmland every time a person buys a six pack of their beer.

The idea wants to support farmers who want to use better, more environmentally friendly methods to cultivate their products, but can’t afford to transition. The beer brand will fund them to help switch to greener farming methods, as long as people buy enough of their bevs’.

It’s a clever concept that helps ordinary people make the world a better place, just by drinking a beer. Many alcohol companies are looking at ways to become greener and this idea from Michelob is quite impressive. They’ve already been helping farmers move over to organic, but with the drinking-heavy Superbowl just around the corner, they’re really looking to get consumers more involved than ever. Lots of shops close when the game is on, so viewers need to stock up on multiple crates of beer if they want to drink during the match. What do you think about the ad? Do you think it’s a good idea?
