Nike SB meet up with three young women that are changing the world of skateboarding in this short film.

In it, we find out about 3 up and coming female skaters: Lore Bruggeman a 17 year old from Belgium, 14 year old Dutch wonder Keet Oldenbeuving  and 26 year old Parisian Charlotte Hym. Despite their young age, these three are making a big mark in the sport of skateboarding. This film documents their trip to the SLS skate contest in Rio. We learn about how they got to where they are in their careers and how they’re breaking down barriers for other young women in the sport.

Skateboarding is still dominated by men, despite being one of the world’s most popular sports. This video tackles the issue of sexism in the sport and shows us how more women than ever are being inspired to take up skating. The film is shot in Rio De Janeiro and it really captures the beautiful streets of the city. Nike SB do an amazing job of showing us new talent in the world of skating in a really interesting and engaging way.
