Anybody who has ever been to an art gallery will be able to take something away from this short film MASTERPIECE. We see a young artist invite his friends along to see his work exhibited in a gallery, and are treated to a hilarious example of confusing art theories and of feeling just a bit out of your depth when it comes to discussing pieces of art. The acting is natural and lighthearted as we see the group of mates mistakenly critique a half finished bowl of cereal, thinking it’s their mate’s “masterpiece”, and the final reveal is funny enough to keep up with the rest of the jokey but warm subject matter.
