The video starts with people who hate Marmite giving their honest opinions on how it tastes. Their answers range from “disgusting” and “gross” to “tasting like bin juice”. Not exactly great reviews then. It looks like these people are pretty staunchly in the “hate” camp. They can’t stand the taste of Marmite. Nothing could ever change their minds… right?
But then they’re shown a short film that has a hypnotic effect. All of a sudden, they can’t get enough of the stuff. They gobble down slices of toast that are covered in it and some even eat spoonfuls of Marmite straight out of the jar. Whether these are really actual members of the general public is questionable, but it’s a really funny ad in any case. Do you love or hate Marmite? Could this film change your mind?
