This documentary from MEL Films introduces us to the De Jong family – the sons of which formed a metal band called Alien Weaponry and whose latest album reached number 1 on the New Zealand charts. The film explores the families deep passion for their Maori heritage, something instilled into the boys through their father, and shows how they incorporate the culture and language into their music. With the constant support from their parents, the boys have gone on to huge success, touring the country and even dethroning Lorde (another Kiwi musical-heavyweight) from the charts.
