Major Lazer and grandson of Reggae pioneer Bob Marley, Skip Marley, start a new religion in this wacky and weird music video for the track Can’t Take It From Me.

In the video, we see people adopting the religion of “Lazerism”. This involves worshipping Major Lazer, a character created by the band. So what do Lazerists spend their time doing? Well, reading up about the legend that is Major Lazer, singing hymns and, most importantly, erecting huge statues of the Major!

We’re not too sure what’s so good about Lazerism though. Funnily enough, the 2 minute and 56 seconds long video doesn’t really delve into the deeper, theological beliefs that a Lazerist might hold. But, either way, Lazerism does look like quite a lot of fun and if Lazerist hymns are anything like this song, then going to church would feel like a massive night out! It’s a really cool concept for a video and shows off the creative side of the dance group.
