Little Nora Brown is cooler than you could ever hope to be in your life, and she’s only 12 years old.

Little Nora (The Banjo Prodigy) is an incredible short documentary that profiles the young claw hammer picking prodigy. Nora started learning banjo at the age of 6, and it has quickly become her biggest passion.

The shot documentary, directed by Joshua Z Weinstein, is narrated by Nora herself, as she talks about what it is about the banjo she finds so alluring. She discusses the differences between “old time” music and current pop music, and how she prefers the unpolished and emotional sound of the banjo, as well as the songs which are steeped in history.

Footage in the film ranges from Nora busking on the streets and performing a proper concert, as well as interviews with both herself and her parents, and old home videos of her in her early(er) days of starting out on the ol’ claw hammer

Nora shows no signs of slowing down at being the most woke 12 year old on the planet, playing with several different bands and groups and winning prizes around America for her banjo skills.
