Malika Favre’s illustrations are instantly recognisable, and her work has been on the cover of dozens of iconic magazine covers, book sleeves and articles. In this short documentary by illustration company Handsome Frank, Favre shows us around her home studio in East London while talking about her typical day of work, the subjects she finds most intriguing to draw about and how she approaches an illustration project in terms of research and work flow. Her covers for publications like The New Yorker and The New York Times are on full display, and you will no doubt spot her work from a mile away the next time it is emblazoned on the front page of an iconic paper.
