The BBC teamed up with musician and poet Casey Bailey to make this rap about the hit TV series Peaky Blinders. The artist takes us deep into the dangerous world of gang life in the West Midlands.

The TV show is set in the 1920s, in inner-city Birmingham. It follows the story of Tommy Shelby and his family who run the infamous gang, the Peaky Blinders. The series is known for its dark plot lines, gritty action scenes and iconic outfits. The show has gained a cult following of viewers who fell in love with Tommy and co’s cool clothes. Some have even gone so far as to adopt the vintage look 24/7 and have incorporated the old-school outfits into their wardrobe full-time.

In this video, Casey recaps what’s happened over the past few series and gets viewers up to date on the latest happenings of the Shelby family. The show is just about to start its fifth season and the internet is buzzing about the new series. Casey is actually from Birmingham himself, so he’s the perfect choice to represent the Brummie gang in a musical way.
