International TV and broadband company Liberty Global have rolled out the big bucks for their latest brand film A Report Of Connected Events.


In what must surely have been a nightmare to get the licensing right cleared for, the film pays homage to the idea that a good story can change people for the better. Shot around Paris, we see individuals and groups of friends all recounting their favourite films and television shows, with the characters, monsters and props of each person’s favourites appearing in the world around them. Ending on a CGI-heavy shot of aliens invading Paris surrounded by helicopters (and the marshmallow man from Ghostbusters 2), the film is a dazzling display of what can be done when a company has the money to throw at a branded film.
