VICE made this documentary in partnership with Levis about The 2020 Project. It’s a drive to get more people voting and to make sure that minority voices in the US are heard.
For the next presidential election, the USA will have its most diverse set of voters in history. It’s more important than ever for minorities in the country to make sure that they’re listened to by going out to vote. This is especially important for younger people, who statistically are much less likely to vote compared to older people.
In this interesting video, we hear from a diverse range of voters and learn which issues are important to them ahead of the election. Despite minorities making up a larger share than the American population than before, some feel less represented than ever by the current administration’s policies. This doc reminds us of the importance of democracy. It also shows us how many battles took place to get proper representation for all Americans, regardless of race, gender, class or religion.
