Levis and Huck challenge the idea of masculinity in this moving ad. In it, they ask what it means to be a man and how the ideas around that topic are changing.

 

Through interviewing three different men from around the world, they explore what it means to be a man in the 21st century. They discuss how the idea that manliness should be derived from bravado, strength and toughness is outdated. Being a man isn’t about the pain you can inflict, it’s about the love you can give.

They each talk about where they derive their masculinity from and what it means to them. They all give varying answers, but the key message is clear. Being open, supporting each other and helping people is what being a man is really all about. It’s a touching ad that echoes the sentiment we saw in the Gillette ad released earlier this year. The ad is beautifully shot and has a touching message we won’t soon forget!
