When we were kids playing with LEGO, the best we’d manage was maybe a semi-believable house or perhaps a pile of bricks in an interesting formation – to prove just what can be done with the LEGO Technic sets, LEGO teamed up with Bugatti to create a 1:1 scale version of a Bugatti Chiron.

Not only is the car made to size from Technic parts, it can actually drive thanks to an engine that is also completely made from LEGO Technic motors, something which we’re still struggling to get our heads around.

In the video, we see the car being driven at Bugatti’s test track by their dedicated test pilot Andy Wallace, who has gone from testing the actual Bugatti Chiron to driving a LEGO version of it down the same course…

Taking over 13,000 hours to build and comprising of  over 1 million Technic elements, the car is the first large scale, moveable and non-glued construction that LEGO have produced as part of its #BuildForReal campaign.
