Texan electronics and utility company Oncor have released this charming but informative animation aimed at children to warn them of the dangers of touching power-lines and live electrical cables. The short is presented as a young girl who comes in contact with a fallen power-line while on her bike – steering well clear, she then calls in backup in the form of two talking Oncor vehicles who then begin a bizarrely catchy song/rap entitled, you guessed it, Keep Away From Powerlines. It’s actually not a completely terrible song, and the animation is solid enough that hopefully the central message of the campaign will get through to the children it is aimed at.
