Keenan The First – How It Goes

The video for Keenan The First’s laid back track How It Goes is a pastiche of every classic 50’s sitcom about a husband and wife. The video is presented as a constantly repeating Truman Show-style loop, with Keenan living the suburban dream with his weird looping-gif of a wife. He begins to struggle with his own place in this world, spawning clones of himself that are disrupting his routine and leading him to disregard his wife. Flipping the idea of the male of the relationship being the hero in these sitcoms, we see Keenan sinking further into this bizarre cycle while his wife eventually decides it’s a bit too crowded and runs off to a vineyard. To be honest, we can’t say we blame her.
