Actress and body-positivity advocate Jameela Jamil and model Mama Cax chat to Tommy Hilfiger in this interesting video.
They have both been helping women to fight against discrimination, fat-shaming and sexism through activism. Mama Cax wears a prosthetic leg but never let that stop her from pursuing her dream of becoming a professional model. In fact, she’s used her disability as a way of showing that beauty comes in a variety of shapes and sizes and has shown that having a prosthetic doesn’t exclude you from the world of fashion and style.
Jameela started the #IWeigh movement, where she encouraged women on social media to tell the world how much they weighed and to show the “real” version of themselves through pictures. Both women have done an incredible amount of work to take on sexist ideas around beauty and celebrate body positivity. In this video, the two talk about how they were first inspired to take on these issues and how they now feel better about themselves and the world after doing so.
