J. Cole’s new single Kevin’s Heart deals with issues of addiction and infidelity, and the title of the track is a nod towards the controversy surrounding actor Kevin Hart after he admitted being unfaithful to his wife in 2017. For the music video to accompany the track, Hart makes an appearance to actually play himself, reliving what he went through during those times – from disgusted looks at him as he does his shopping to dealing with unwarranted advances from women. The climax of the video sees him have a surprisingly touching moment in the bathroom of a restaurant, where an at first intimidating man gives him some advice – “Nobody’s perfect and you’re only human. Learn from it, man. Learn from it.”
