Isle of Dogs, Wes Anderson’s upcoming stop-motion animated feature, is a star-studded affair that features the director’s signature symmetrical way of framing shots and dry sense of humour, and Fox Searchlight Pictures have released a short teaser clip that gives us a taste of what to expect. In the scene, two rival gangs of canines scrap over a bag of literal rubbish – although not before democratically deciding whether the fight will be worth it or not. There’s a good few jokes packed into the 1 minute 40 seconds, and also a surprisingly violent bit where one of the pooches gets his ear torn off, though he doesn’t seem to particularly mind.
