If there was one thing that stole the show during the opening ceremony for the Winter Olympics in PyeongChang, it was the over 1200 synchronised drones using lights and movement to create animated scenes in the sky. This short video released by Intel focuses on the team behind the projects, and how they had to overcome adverse weather conditions as well as the logistics of having so many drones at play in one go. The jaw-dropping performance broke the world record for the most drones flown simultaneously, and surely sets a precedent for more crazy light shows to come in the future.
