Start up companies like Just in San Francisco have already succeeded in creating meat by tricking cells into multiplying and growing within their laboratories. Now that the process has been proved to work, the struggles they now face are issues to do with the cost, speed and output of production, and most of all whether consumers will ever be willing to spend money on meat that they know has never been near an actual animal.
