Google shared the story of LGBT+ charity Switchboard, who have been supporting members of the LGBT+ community in London for over 40 years.

The service started out in the 70s in the wake of the decriminalisation of homosexuality in the UK. It offered a safe place to discuss your sexuality and find out information without being judged. People can often feel like they can’t be open about their true thoughts or are scared to talk about feelings that they might be having. In this ad, we see how Google pairs up people who might be using their search engine as a tool to learn more about their sexuality with services like Switchboard.
