Google made this short film called The Guardians, which follows a group of bikers who all take part in a global relay race.

We meet groups of women from different parts of the world who all have a passion for motorbikes. When most people think of bikers, images of big burly men usually come to mind, but these women want to change that narrative. They want to show people that anyone can have a love for biking, no matter what their background or gender is.

So how does the relay work? Well, in this video, we’re shown how different female bikers came together to plan a worldwide route. Each of the riding groups carry a baton and pass it onto the next region. Each of them would cover hundreds of miles and have the chance to explore their own country. They used Google Maps to plot out the routes and then followed them closely to make sure they didn’t get lost. It’s an inspiring video that shows us the amazing connections that people have around the world can have.
