Google take an old monologue from late author and civil rights activist Maya Angelou and layer it over this moving ad. Google encourage us to “Share The Love” by connecting with people who are closest to us.

Google show us that, with their new face time tech, it’s easier than ever to be close with our relatives. In the past, a crackly phone line or a few letters was the only way we could keep in touch with the people we loved the most. But now, it’s easy to seamlessly connect with them, no matter where we are in the world. It can be emotionally hard to travel to new places and be far apart from family, but it’s not quite the sacrifice now that it was years ago.

Google And Maya Angelou Tell Us To

Maya’s monologue is really touching and fits perfectly with the idea of the ad. Although Maya passed away a few years ago, this advert makes it feel like she’s here with us again. The speech she makes is called Love Liberates and is from Oprah Winfrey’s Masterclass series, which encouraged famous people to share the highs and lows of their lives.
