Men’s grooming giant Gillette has wandered into the #MeToo debate with this incendiary new advert that flips their “The Best A Man Can Get” tagline on its head.


Using the new slogan “The Best Men Can Be”, the advert challenges the air of toxic masculinity that has been brought to light through the recent years of #MeToo, challenging men to stand up to those who discriminate, objectify and use the age old saying “boys will be boys” to pardon bad behaviour. The advert has sparked fierce debate online, with many rightwing publications and men’s activists claiming they will now boycott P&G, the multinational owner of Gillette’s products.
