This advert from New Zealand telecommunication company Spark highlights one of the downsides to having access to AI assistants like Siri and Alexa – the fact kids can fact-check you easily now.

The funny advert shows a host of confused children asking the big questions about blatant lies from their parents: “Does the internet turn off at 7pm?”; “Can goldfish run away?”; “Can a stork carry a baby?” and so on. The advert takes a dark turn when they find out they’re being lied to, with children visibly furious with their parents and appearing in hilarious ways.
