Doug Jones is a guy you probably wouldn’t recognise if he sat next to you on the bus, but you’ve 100% seen some of his work – with over 150 appearances in movies, TV shows and commercials, Jones has really cornered the “tall skinny guy with loads of prosthetics on” market. Starting off as a mime artists but eventually moving over into Hollywood, Jones has played everything from the faun in Pan’s Labyrinth, the Silver Surfer in the Fantastic Four sequel and the Amphibian Man in the recent Oscar-winner The Shape of Water. In this interview with Great Big Story, he talks about how he got into the film business and how he benefits from not being recognised in the street yet being the star of so many blockbuster movies.
