The BBC explore London’s abandoned tube stations, with this vid taking a look at the Charing Cross station. The station itself is fairly new, forming part of the Jubilee line.

But due to a new extension, the station was no longer needed. Nowadays, it serves a number of different purposes. It’s used by the police and fire service for practice and has been used as a film set too!

You might recognise it from the James Bond film Skyfall, as some scenes from that film were shot there. It’s really interesting to take a look inside and find out about what happens to a tube station after it’s no longer used.
