The work of photographer Ray Collins is brought to life in this incredible short film by Armand Dijcks, who creates cinemagraphs out of the artist’s still images to create a moving piece of footage. Cinemagraphs are achieved by adding a small amount of movement to the image and looping it, creating an infinite moving image out of a single picture. As Collins’ photographs focus on the relationship between light and water, especially waves, the result is a seemingly endless stream of crystal blue water crashing into itself, with the light shining through it in increasingly dramatic ways.
