E.ON Energy’s advert for their air source heat pumps imagines a city that instead of streets has a huge heated pool in place of its main thoroughfares. We’re not going to discuss the hygiene issues with this particular idea (a guy jumps in with his shoes and jeans on I mean come on) instead we’re going to appreciate the stylish nature of the ad itself. The city in question feels like some kind of Venetian paradise, with synchronised swimmers taking priority position in the middle of the streets and people enjoying the ambience of the pool – that is apart from the bloke whose phone got knocked in… This would actually be a terrible idea, wouldn’t it?
