Deuspi

Proving that the best comedic short films are short and sweet, Despui is a tale of a robbery gone wrong that packs more laughs into 1 minute 17 seconds than most get in a full length run-time. Slapstick humour and stupid robbers aside, the animation is at the same time stunningly realistic and exaggerated for comic effect, with the robbers bodies scaled in bizarre ways and the shop owners eyes refusing to point forwards. With the authorities proving themselves to be as stupid as the criminals, one robber nearly gets away with a packet of sweets only for there to be one last laugh at the end.
