David Attenborough discusses ideas around the environment and mortality in this interesting animated interview.
The legendary film maker has narrated some of the best nature documentaries of all time. What’s even better is that he’s massively dedicated to the issues of climate change and environmentalism. In this video, he talks about issues around the climate crisis and tells us that we are more informed than ever, so shouldn’t turn a blind eye to what’s going on.
Beyond that topic, he also talks about some of his favourite experiences that he’s had as a film maker over the years. He recounted one story where he watched three different spiders and realised that they all had totally different personalities. Some were very timid, others were extremely confident and some were just a bit slow and lazy. He thought in that moment how we should think more about how similar we are to other creatures and animals even if they look very different to us. We might have more in common than we think. Even the smallest insect could have the same personality as you.
