The video for GLASS by British techno producer Daniel Avery is a euphoric and bizarrely revealing journey through a night club, told through the use of thermal imaging cameras. The footage on these cameras cut through all the smoke and the strobe lights that are usually the only thing visible during night-club music videos, revealing the individuals on the dance floor in shocking details – the handheld shots through the crowd combined with full views of the dancefloor let you see every person in the room’s movements (and see just how sweaty they are). Combining this with standard footage of Avery playing to the room, the video gives us a full tour of a techno-filled night out in a way never seen before.
