The Christmas advert from electronics retailer Currys takes the traditional elements of a Christmas film and mixes it with the cutting edge technology of 2018.

 

Set around the 1800s and presented as a sort of Christmas Carol-esque scene, the ad at first beings with a woman asking her home assistant to play some Christmas music.

The ad then pans across a Victorian street, where carol singers are reading from iPads, people are getting around on Segways and there’s widescreen TVs in pubs where people can watch old school football.
