Culture Trip visits the Rainbow Ball of Vienna in this brilliant animation.
The Austrian capital is renown for its breathtaking balls. Scored by traditional classical music, the events feature a plethora of tasty grub, late night dancing and, of course, plenty of drinks. The balls have been around for donkey’s years, but as time has gone on they’ve been updated and have become more inclusive.
In this interesting video, Culture Trip focus on the Rainbow Ball, an event aimed at attracting LGBT attendees from across the city. They do away with the fusty traditions of the past. Strauss is replaced with ABBA, hors d’oeuvres are replaced with tasty snacks and champagne makes way for shots. It’s a great re-imagining of a classic Austrian pastime that fits nicely into 2020. We love this video from Culture Trip. The animation in it is incredible and the story behind it is lovely as well. Did you enjoy it? Would you go to the Rainbow Ball? Let us know your thoughts down in the comments.
