Coldplay’s new music video for their track Cry Cry Cry shows us a couple’s entire life in just 3 minutes.

The video starts in an old dance hall in the 1960s. A young couple share a romantic dance on the floor. They strut their stuff to the laid back tones of Chris Martin and co. The two are deeply in love and can’t get enough of each other. Then, we flash forward ten years and the two look a little bit older. They seem to be a little less keen on each other and their dancing reflects the arguments that are becoming more and more frequent in their relationship.

The vid then travels decades in the future and the couple are well into their old age. They seem to be back to their loving selves and their arguments are a thing of the past. They can hardly dance anymore though, as they’re in their late 80s. It’s a cute concept from Coldplay that shows us the entire history of one couple in just a few minutes.
