One of the biggest curveballs to come out of the advertising during this year’s Super Bowl was the trailer for The Cloverfield Paradox. The Cloverfield series is one of the most disjointed franchises to date, with 10 Cloverfield Lane only being vaguely related to the original. There were rumours a new film was going to be teased during the game, but out of nowhere the trailer announced that the film The Cloverfield Paradox was instantly available to stream on Netflix. We can’t say we’re not pleased with this tactic of instantly releasing films rather than a long, drawn-out publicity period.
