Fashion brand Chanel goes to the moon in this short film that showcases their new high jewelry collection.
In it, we see a models enter a lift one at a time. As each of them step in, they all click the button for the “moon” level. It’s not explained whether this is the actual moon or just a nickname for a floor. As they go up in the lift, the lights flicker and fade, and it looks like they’re going to get stuck.
But, it’s actually just the lift getting ready to make the big ascent up above the clouds. After shooting way up into the sky, the lift doors eventually creak open and we see the model’s faces lit up by the bright moonlight that’s shining in. They all look gobsmacked and are amazing by the beauty of it. We don’t actually get to see the moon though. We guess actually firing a bunch of people into space was a bit outside of Chanel’s budget for this ad. It’s a great promo that presents their new collection in an interesting and innovative way.
