No matter who you are, we’re all one team during the Covid-19 crisis, is the message of Budweiser’s new ad.

The beer brand knows we might all be struggling without sport due to the lockdown. They want to remind us that although we might be without our sporting heroes on the field, there are still plenty of inspirational people out there working hard. In the ad, they use the nicknames of sports teams, like The Angels, The Giants and The Mavericks to reference frontline workers who are helping people in hospitals and by providing other vital services.

They also tell us at the end of the ad that they’ll be working with sports teams across the US to allow their stadiums to be used for blood drives throughout the Coronavirus crisis. It’s a touching commercial that reminds us that we can put aside sporting rivalries in the midst of a crisis like this and come together as one. It’s a great idea from the beer brand and is a message that we all appreciate at this time.
