Booking Hero: A traveller finds his roots

Travel site Booking.com have released a series of videos documenting stories of what they are calling “Booking Heroes” – people who went above and beyond to make a person’s trip unforgettable. This first instalment of the campaign tells the story of David Alexander, a Canadian native who travelled to Scotland in order to trace his family history and find the house where his father was born. Staying with a woman called Karen at her B&B, he was having difficulty tracking down his family’s roots until she helped him work out the house he was looking for was just around the corner. The video sees both David and Karen tell the story, before they are emotionally reunited in front of the house that ended up meaning so much to both of them.
