Horror movie plots tend to be a cliché riddled mess these days, with characters running into situations that could be easily avoided, Scooby-Doo style reveals of the villains at the end and the eternally stupid idea: “let’s split up”. However, the upcoming Blood Fest looks like it could take these clichés and mix it up a bit – a group of horror movie enthusiasts travel to a horror film festival, before it all goes a bit chainsaw-y when it turns out the organisers are taking things very seriously. Expect a gory slash-em-up, except the protagonists will be entirely clued up on how best to get out of the situation without ending up in a body bag.
