Big Elvis is a documentary focusing on the life of Pete Vallee, one of Las Vegas’ most iconic – and largest – Elvis impersonators.
Directed by Paul Stone, the film introduces us to the larger than life personality of Vallee, who believes Elvis Presley is his biological father due to both a deathbed confession from his mother and a supposed DNA match.

The short film is narrated by Sam Elliott i.e. The Man With The Greatest Voice In The World and The Stranger from The Big Lebowski. Stone combines photographs of Vallee as a youngster as well as footage of Big Elvis in action, stitching together the timeline of his journey to stardom.
Made with its tongue firmly in cheek and exploring the mystery of Pete Vallee’s life in a way that doesn’t feel disrespectful, Big Elvis is a brilliantly stylised look into a man’s obsession with discovering the truth about his past.
