This flashily made and edgy short documentary looks in to the Russian bar scene, more specifically the Bartender Brothers, an organisation that brings together bar owners and workers from around the country for their annual Barproof Awards in Moscow. The first award of its kind since the Soviet Union, the founders of the organisation see it as a way of bringing together people around the country while celebrating the diverse nature of the bar industry. Combining footage of the awards themselves with shots following around the organisation’s creators, the documentary gives us a full tour of the bizarre and constantly changing world of the Russian bar scene.
