Apple’s latest TV advert is a crazy special effects-filled battle between a mobile gamer and a whole world of insane monsters.
Titled Unleash, the video is supposed to highlight the iPhone X’s superior gaming capabilities due to the A11 bionic chip within its hardware, capable of performing up to 600 billion operations at one time, as well as the X’s super-retina display screen.
We see a guy leaving an underground station playing a game on his phone, with everything seeming normal until the world around him begins bursting to life with alien foliage and bizarre creatures. What follows is a high-octane fight sequence featuring little gremlin-style henchmen, a giant tree monster and a Godzilla-esque lizard thing…
Seamlessly blending the CGI elements of the video with the live-action settings and actors involved, the video is a fun and playful way of demonstrating the iPhone X’s processing power, while engaging its target audience of mobile gamers through demonstrating actual features the X can offer.
