In their latest “shot with iPhone” video, Apple travels to China and show us a unique story between a mother and her daughter.

We follow them throughout their day. The woman drives a cab for a living, but has to take her little girl with her as she can’t get anyone to look after her whilst she’s at work. She drives people around with her chirpy daughter in tow. Later on in a flashback, we’re shown that the woman had to leave home with her little one after getting into an argument with her mother.

The woman dwells on her separation from her mum, which is especially painful around New Year, as most Chinese families travel home to spend time with their loved ones. We won’t spoil how the film ends here, but keep watching right to the end to see if the mother and her daughter can sort things out. It’s an incredibly ambitious short from Apple. It’s really impressive to see what they can do with their cameras. On top of that they also chose to feature Zhou Xun, a famous celebrity in Asia.
