A group of animated sheep explore Tokyo at night in the music video for the Jay Hardway track Counting Sheep.

In the video we see a man who can’t get to sleep. In his head, he starts counting sheep to try and help him doze off. But the sheep come to life and take him on a night out exploring inner-city Tokyo. Things start off innocently enough, with the group going to a few arcades, hanging out at a cat cafe and strolling around the town.

But as the video goes on, the sheep get more and more rowdy and end up having lots of drinks at numerous bars. They make a bit of a nuisance of themselves and act like typical tourists. In the end, they end up falling asleep on the streets. Worse still, the man from the start is still no closer to sleep himself. The animation in this video is really cool. It feels like something out of Who Framed Roger Rabbit. It’s cool to see brill animation worked in so well to the gorgeous night-time Tokyo setting.
