Motion Capture technology has been one of the most revolutionary new film making techniques of the past few decades. In this video for WIRED, Andy Serkis, the man at the forefront of the technology, talks about some of the roles he played that defined the genre. He explains some of the milestones that pushed the technology into new territory, such as developments in the sensors used to track muscle movements and the suits that motion capture performers would wear to effectively embody the characters on screen.
