Drawing is a fundamental part of a child’s personal development, and this heartbreaking film by charity Amigos For Kids highlights the fact that sometimes the signs of child abuse can be hidden within a child’s drawings. For this short, several drawings by children who had experienced abuse were hung in a gallery during Miami Art Week, with accompanying headphone descriptions from the children themselves about what is going on in the photos. The effect the pictures have on gallery viewers is visibly hard to deal with as they are forced to look deeper into what at first appears to be an innocent drawing.
